Boston – Day 2

Ok! Keep it going, keep posting!

As you can see, with 10 hours of non-stop shopping, my day 1 basically merged with day 2. After all the midnight-dawn-morning madness, and after having a quick meal @ a Burger King, we went back to aunt’s house and took a two-hour nap. We woke up at around 6, and headed out again to another mall, Burlington Mall. We were hungry! (I was hungry!!!) So, first thing first, we went to the Cheesecake Factory to get a table. Approximate waiting time was 20 minutes, which was not bad at all. To kill time, we went in the mall, and AC and I were sucked into Bath & Body Work again (and again!) Unwillingly, we had to leave when it was time… and went back to the Factory for dinner. (Didn’t I say I was hungry?!)

The first time I’ve ever been to the Cheesecake Factory was around 4-5 years ago when I went to Vancouver and took a road trip to Seattle. Three girls hopped onto a Prelude that we borrowed from a friend, drove along Hwy 99 and then Hwy 5… Good time.

It’s not about what you eat, where you go, it’s about who you are with. (Just like watching movies… it’s much more fun to watch with friends.) This time, I’m here again with good company 🙂 With a bit of alcohol, it’s so relaxing… oh yea, and my feets finally got to rest.

I ordered a Strawberry Daiquiri; they ordered a Long Island Iced Tea (one of my favourite drinks), a Typhoon Punch (Stolichnaya, Stoli Raspberry, Mango Liqueur with Passion Fruit, Pineapple, Cranberry and Orange Juices), and a glass of Merlot (THE CHEESECAKE FACTORY by Robert Mondavi, California). I liked my Daiquiri, very fruity and smooth – lady’s drink :p

Cheesecake Factory 7

For entrees, we ordered:

– Chicken Marsala & Mushrooms (Chicken Breast Gently Sauteed with Fresh Mushrooms in a Rich Marsala Wine Sauce. Served over Bow Tie Pasta)

– Steak Diane (Medallions of Beef Steak Covered with Black Peppercorns and a Rich Mushroom Wine Sauce. Served with Mashed Potatoes and Slow Grilled Onions)

– Grilled Pork Chops (Marinated Center-Cut Chops Served with Housemade Apple Sauce, Mashed Potatoes and Fresh Spinach)

– Honey-maple Pork Tenderloin (Slowly Roasted and Glazed. Served with Mashed Potatoes and Fresh Vegetables)

I loved the Pork Chops amongst all of them. It’s tender, juicy; and I love the little bit of sweetness of it. It went really well with the apple sauce… which reminds me of a place in Niagara region that my friend recently told me about. Hope I would be able to try the pork chop there. Overall, all these entrees were good.

After entrees, how can we not get a piece of cheesecake? Afterall, we were at the Cheesecake Factory! We were tempted to get a few pieces of cakes. However, JK and AC are not really fond of cheesecake, so we ordered a White Chocolate Caramel Latte Cheesecake (White Chocolate, Espresso and Caramel Swirled in a White Chocolate Cheesecake) for there, a Fresh Banana Cream CC (Banana Cream Cheesecake Topped with Bavarian Cream and Fresh Sliced Bananas), a Godiva Chocolate CC (Layers of Flourless Godiva Chocolate Cake, Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake and Chocolate Mousse) and a Chocolate Tower Truffle cake (Layers and Layers of Fudge Cake with Chocolate Truffle Cream and Chocolate Mousse) to go.

It was really satisfying… we then all went back home with full stomaches and big tummies.
