Last Saturday night, thank to SL, I had a good time doing something meaningful. I don’t know if you have heard of the Samaritan’s Purse … Every year, they have a campaign that gathers millions of shoe boxes of Xmas gifts in North America and send to the third world countries. What we did that night was… We bought a lot of stationeries, hygiene items, and toys from the dollar store. Each person was responsible for packing 1 shoe box. You can actually choose whether your gift box would be for boys or girls and for which age group, e.g. 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14. The box I packed was for an age 10-14 girl… After the boxes were packed, they had to be dropped off at one of the drop-off locations before November 12, 2005.
To tell you the truth, I’m not a religious person, but I think it does not matter as long as I can help someone. Time is limited. If you’re thinking of what to do during this weekend, here’s an idea. Come out with your friends for shoe-boxes packing.
